Sarah Hollywood Instructor
Sarah-Elizabeth Hollywood began dancing at age 7 with Ballet Florida and Klein Dance. Ms. Hollywood also attended U.B. Kinsey Elementary School of the Arts as a Dance Major with Minors in Chorus and Violin, and Bak Middle School of the Arts as a Dance Major. At 13 Ms. Hollywood trained with Joan Miller at Palm Beach Ballet Center as a member of the Senior Company. During her summers she traveled to attend Virginia School of the Arts with Petrus Bosman.
In 2010 Ms. Hollywood moved to Panama City Beach, FL to train with Prof. Peggy Willis-Aarnio at the Willis Conservatory of Classical Ballet where she received a full scholarship for both the Conservatory and training in the Teaching Method of Classical Ballet.
Ms. Hollywood was promoted to a Soloist with The Willis Ballet after 3 months of training and was able to tour with The St. Petersburg Classic Ballet Theater of Marina Medvetskaya, where she revived private coaching from Prima Ballerina Yulia Yashina and Marina Medvetskaya.
In 2012 when Ms. Hollywood's training in the Teaching Method of Classical Ballet was complete she became the director of the Open Ballet Program and was Co-Choreographer to Prof. Peggy Willis-Aarnio for WCCB's Spring Concert featuring "Carnival of the Animals".
Ms. Hollywood has performed many roles in Marie Hale's "The Nutcracker" with Ballet Florida, "Romeo and Juliet", "Giselle" 1st Act, Diamond Fairy from"Sleeping Beauty", Prof. Peggy Willis-Aarnio's "The Nutcracker" and most recently as the Snow Queen in "The Nutcracker" with Downtown-Dance. This is Ms. Hollywood's 2nd year dancing with Downtown-Dance and is very pleased to begin teaching this year with Downtown-Dance.
